  • Matching numbers, with original interior
  • Long-term Italian ownership
  • A wonderful Ferrari grand tourer

The 365 GT 2+2 was introduced at the Paris Salon in 1967, and it was the largest and most luxurious Ferrari model to date, carrying forward the growing demand for high-speed transport with accommodation for up to four passengers. Its low-slung fastback design was created and constructed by Pininfarina, and it was the first Ferrari to be equipped with standard power steering and power brakes. The 365 GT 2+2 was also the Modenese company’s first 2+2 that had a self-levelling independent rear suspension.

The 4.4-litre, single overhead-camshaft V-12 engine was fitted with three Weber carburettors and produced 320 horsepower. Such performance was combined with a luxurious interior, creating a most impressive grand tourer. Plush leather, luxurious veneered trim panels, the last wood-rimmed steering wheel in a production Ferrari, air conditioning, a stereo, and standard power windows completed the interior appointments. By the time production ended in 1971, Ferrari had built approximately eight hundred 365 GT 2+2s, accounting for half of Ferrari production in its three-year run.

The car offered here was built in September 1969 and delivered by Crepaldi, of Milan, in Grey Ortello over black leather. On January 27, 1970, it was first registered in the province of Brescia, and it later passed through owners in Tuscany, Pistoia, and Perugia. Recently, it has spent the last several years in one of the most important collections of pre-war Fiats in Italy. This 365 was repainted Bianco some time ago, but it still retains its original black leather interior, which is in fine condition, as well as its original matching-numbers engine. Recently, during a mechanical sorting, the mufflers and brakes were replaced.

This is an ideal Ferrari grand tourer, in striking colours, for four very lucky people.
