40 hp, 200.5 cu. in. L-head four-cylinder engine, selective sliding gear three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse leaf spring and live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel mechanical brakes. Wheelbase: 124"

• Ready-to-run business opportunity

• Flamboyant and striking appearance

• Proven and simple Model A mechanicals

On November 1, 1927, production began on an all new motor car, the Model A. So vastly different was the new car that Ford Motor Company deviated from previous practice with nomenclature. Rather than continue to use consecutive letters of the alphabet, the company chose to name it the Model A in honor of its first car. In naming the new truck, which was introduced concurrently and utilized a Model A drivetrain, the designation AA was chosen.

This novel AA popcorn wagon is equipped with a remanufactured Cretor’s body mounted on the original chassis. It includes a multiple-pot steam table, popcorn popper, bun warmer, sink, double side awnings, condiment tray, root beer barrel, and four soda dispensers. Ventilation is provided via a pop-up roof vent, crank-open front windshield, pop-out rear windows, and full-service front window. Propane tanks, which fuel the steam table, are concealed behind an exterior door. The unit is fully self-contained with an onboard generator and water tanks.

The vending body has newly restored oak frames, and the glass is in good condition. Fixed sun visors are installed on both sides of the body. The quality of the brightwork is quite good, including body corner moldings, correct grille shell, and dashboard instrument cluster. The black steering wheel exhibits no cracks, and the tires are in very good condition, with plenty of tread depth. The undercarriage is clean, and the truck is reported to run well. Painted red with black fenders and correct model AA wheels painted yellow with gold leaf accents, this vehicle is sure to attract attention wherever it goes. The new owner could easily be the center of attention at a private party or a big hit for a business owner at carnivals, fairs, car shows, or cruise-ins.
