COOL RIDES FUEL HOT COLLECTOR CAR MARKET

Toronto International Fall Classic Car Auction

Evidence of Canada’s Growing Collector Car Market At RM’s Toronto International Classic Car Auction - October 21-23, 2005

BLENHEIM, Ontario, Canada (October 5, 2005) – Collecting and restoring classic cars is a multi-billion dollar industry in North America with automobile enthusiasts snapping up their dream cars at a record pace. Fueled by new classic car television shows and new publications, the collector car hobby has seen record sales at auctions over the last few years and continues to grow.

Rick Carey, of Car Collector Magazine, reports, “Today’s new collectors like to do things with their cars, and the more of them there are the more reasons there are for event organizers to add dates and expand existing events. There are more shows, tours and concours today than there were even a few years ago, and the number continues to expand, benefiting all collectors.”

Over 300 of these cool classic, sports and muscle cars are expected at RM Classic Cars’ annual Toronto International Classic Car Auction, held at the International Center, October 21-23, 2005 and sponsored by the Ontario Ford Dealer’s Association.

“Despite record prices for some of the rarest of the collector cars, there are still many appreciating classics for every taste and budget at this auction,” says Dan Spendick of RM Classic Cars. “It’s more than just an auction - it’s a show too, where you can speak directly with the pros and owners about buying or selling your dream car,” adds Spendick, a 30-year veteran of the classic car business.

In addition to an indoor swap meet, the Toronto auction will also feature many unique automotive collectables and memorabilia up for bids.
