Toronto International Fall Classic Car Auction

Demand for Classic Muscle Cars Continues Bringing Strong Prices at RM's Toronto Fall Classic Car Auction

BLENHEIM, Ontario, Canada (November 1, 2005) – For the new owner of a classic muscle car than gets six miles to the gallon, one would think recent fuel prices would affect their buying decision. On the contrary. The gas loving big block machines that Detroit produced in the late sixties and seventies are still attracting strong money and fueling an increasing demand.

RM’s recent Toronto Classic Car Auction at the International Center drew thousands of like-minded individuals collectors who traveled from across Canada and the Midwest U.S. to participate in Canada’s largest classic car auction event.

Nearly 400 classic, sports and muscle cars rolled across the auction block as interested bidders listened attentively to the auctioneer’s patter. Final hammer prices for some of the rarest of the classics brought unanimous applause and a few high fives from the audience.

Some of the recent Toronto auction highlights included:

· 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 Hard Top – This LS6 edition was the most powerful factory muscle car of all time. Equipped with the mind-boggling 454 cu. in. engine producing 450 bhp. Sold for $103.790 · 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 – One of only 47 Olds W-30's imported for sale in Canada in 1969 - authenticated by GM documentation. Refinished in its original colors of Ebony black with red stripes with red interior. Factory Ram Air induction, Super Stock wheels, and full power accessories. Sold for $41,998 · 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner Convertible – One of the great ragtop muscle cars this Chrysler product Torqueflite & 4 w/four-speed Hurst shifter. V8 383 cid 335hp engine with RAM air. One of 769-4 speed Roadrunner convertibles built in 1969. Sold for $70,620
