  • Chassis no. 19751
  • Engine no. 01863

Documents: Dutch Kentekenbewijs

  • Rare and desirable fiberglass ‘Vetroresina’ 308 GTB
  • One of 712 built and one of only 100 examples imported to North America

One of just 712 fiberglass ‘Vetroresina’ Ferrari 308 GTB coupés produced, and one of only 100 originally imported into North America, this car’s early history has been documented in Gerald Roush’s Ferrari Market Letter, with documentation accompanying the car.

Imported new by Chinetti-Garthwaite, of Paoli, Pennsylvania, today, chassis no. 19751 sports its original colour of Azzurro Metallizzato. The car was then sold new to FAF Motorcars of Tucker, Georgia, on 9 February 1977. FAF Motorcars then sold the car to John Jellinek of Chicago, Illinois, who took delivery of the car directly from Chinetti-Garthwaite. It was then immediately offered for sale at Joe Marchetti’s International Autos in Chicago, where it was sold to Howard Schultz of Chicago.

Subsequently, this Vetroresina was sold in April 1988 to Netherlands-based Hans Disma. Mr Disma has enjoyed this Vetroresina to its full potential and appeared regularly at Ferrari Club events in the Netherlands in his ownership. After its importation to Europe, the car’s U.S. side markers were removed, and its U.S.-specification bumpers were updated to the more attractive European bumpers.

Presented in its original and desirable colour, with tool roll, ownership and race history documentation, as well as shipping documentation, this 308 GTB Vetroresina is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.
